More Deus Ex News...

As any gamers who haven’t been living on the far side of the Moon will know, the E3 expo has been taking place in Los Angeles this week, and among the big news of launches of the new Next Gen consoles, there’s also been stuff about a couple of games I worked on.

Deus Ex: The Fall, a new mobile/tablet title for iOS and Android is coming this Summer, and it features characters from (and is a sequel to) my Deus Ex tie-in novel Icarus Effect. Here’s the latest trailer showing story and gameplay elements...

Along with the official announcement of DXTF, developers Eidos Montreal have also revealed that the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut – previously only announced for release on the Wii U console – will now also be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Mac platforms.

The Director’s Cut edition of DXHR is an uprated, refined version of the original game with a whole bunch of additional material and under-the-hood tweaks. The DLC extra missions “Tong’s Rescue” and The Missing Link are now included as part of the core narrative; the boss fights have been overhauled and re-pathed with multiple avenues for solution, game balance and combat have been refined along with improved AI and visual fidelity, and last but not least, the Director’s Cut includes over 8 hours of developer commentary. There’s ‘second screen’ functionality for the Wii U with it’s handheld controller tablet, and that will also be available for the Xbox 360 version via the Smartglass app and on the Playstation Vita for the PS3 version. The Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut hits later this year.

For more information, check out this E3 interview with Gamespot, which shows off gameplay from both games.
