As a year-end special offer, the folks at Square Enix are making Deus Ex: The Fall available for iOS gamers at the princely sum of just 99p over at the iTunes Store, which at 85% off is as cheap as bio-chips (US and European gamers can get it for just under a buck/euro too). This festive price augmentation will last until January 2nd 2014, so get it while its, um, cold.
Set in the same world as Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Fall is an action-RPG and features characters and situations from my tie-in novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect. The plotline of the mobile game carries on directly after the events of the book, with players taking on the role of former Belltower mercenary and ex-SAS soldier Ben Saxon. In The Fall, Saxon is pulled into conflict with the members of his former team, the Tyrants - a ruthless group of augmented assassins - as he uncovers a conspiracy behind the production of an anti-rejection drug vital to those who have cybernetic augmentations.
Fantastic news. It's a great game. I can't wait for a ton more people to grab it this Christmas! Now all we need is "the story continues... " content :)
