You Are Hearing Me Talk... To Ten Forward about Star Trek: The Fall

Another day, another podcast - and this one is a team effort!

Sina Alvarado over at the TrekMate site put together an interview for the Ten Forward podcast with four of the five authors of the Star Trek: The Fall miniseries, featuring David R. George III (who wrote Revelation And Dust), David Mack (A Ceremony Of Losses), Dayton Ward (Peaceable Kingdoms) and me (The Poisoned Chalice). Sadly, our fellow writer Una McCormack (The Crimson Shadow) wasn't able to join us, as she's recently become a new mum with all the baby-related stuff that requires, but the show still represents the first gathering of us to discuss the miniseries.

And naturally, putting DRG, D-Mack, Wardo and myself on air together means that there's five minutes of out-takes at the end...

Captain Garro gets Enhanced

A while back I started writing a series of original audio drama stories featuring Battle Captain Nathaniel Garro, the hero of my Horus Heresy novel The Flight of the Eisenstein.

After his appearance in the novel, readers were interested in seeing a lot more of him, and that coincided nicely with Black Library's decision to produce audio stories.

Garro came to life thanks to amazing voice actor Toby Longworth, and since then he's appeared in four tales, with new adventures still to come.

The first two tales in Garro's ongoing story were Oath of Moment and Legion of One, and this month they are being re-released, but in a new "Enhanced Audio Edition" form.

These new versions are presented as an eBook featuring the full script and incorporating audio elements that you can read and hear on iPad, Android (using epub3 compatible software), PC or Mac platforms - so if you haven't come across them yet, this is cool new way to experience these tales.

Oath of Moment takes place shortly after the events of Flight...; In surviving the horrors on board the Eisenstein, Nathaniel Garro proved his courage and absolute loyalty to the Emperor. On his return to Terra, Garro is despatched on a mission of even greater importance – a mission given to him by Malcador the Sigillite himself. He soon finds himself back amongst the stars and on the fields of battle, thrust into a warzone where the Ultramarines are purported to be battling a greenskin invasion. Once again Garro must fight for survival, but now he also fights to achieve a higher purpose...

Legion of One is set one year after Oath...; Nathaniel Garro, loyalist Death Guard, and hero of the Eisenstein, has found a new calling in his service to the Emperor. Surrounded by a cloak of secrecy, Garro travels the galaxy in pursuit of his new goal.
