Last year's Black Library Weekender event
featured a couple of limited edition hardcover anthologies featuring
stories from the Worlds of Warhammer, and my contribution to that
collection was "Lost Sons", a Horus Heresy tale featuring the Blood Angels, tying in to the narrative of my novel Fear To Tread.
This week, Black Library are promoting their eBook line and as part of that, "Lost Sons"
is being made available for the first time in digital form for direct
download to whatever tablet, mobile, desktop or hololithic data slate
device you may wish to read it upon...
The Blood Angels were
lured into a trap at Signus Prime by the most vile treachery imaginable,
but not all of them went with Sanguinius on that fateful journey.
Keeping
the home fires burning on Baal, the remaining honour guard are brought
news of their primarch’s death and must decide upon the final course for
their Legion themselves.

I've migrated my old image blog account across from the cobwebbed
Moblog over to Tumblr, which is apparently where the cool kids now all
hang out.

It's a good few months away yet, but come the end of November I'm going
to be appearing at the Ritz Cinema in Lincoln as part of their Star Trek Marathon Weekend event, a fundraiser for this venerable old picture palace held over the 30th November-1st December weekend.
The marathon includes all twelve Star Trek films, from The Motion Picture through to Into Darkness, and I'll be there talking about writing for the Star Trek universe. There will be a Q & A and a signing, and fellow Trek novelist David A. Mcintee will be joining me. My upcoming Star Trek: The Fall novel The Poisoned Chalice will also be out that week, so I'll hopefully be able to talk about that too...

As mentioned downblog, the next videogame in the Deus Ex series is Deus Ex: The Fall, the first of a new series of games for mobile platforms created by N-Fusion for Square Enix.
The game features characters from Deus Ex: Human Revolution and my novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, and acts as a direct sequel to Icarus Effect.
I worked on the narrative and scriptwriting for the game, and I'm
looking forward to seeing how this new branch of the franchise works in
the mobile arena...
Deus Ex: The Fall will be available in the App Store from Thursday 11th July for the American and European markets, priced at £4.99/€5.99.
The game is playable on iPhone 4S and above, iPad 2 and above, and iPod Touch 5 and above.
For those of you non-Apple folks, an Android version of The Fall is in the works for release later this year.
